Safe way to earn a guaranteed rate of return which is higher than a regular Savings Account Yield.

- Terms range from 6 months to 6 years.
- Premium Checking Account members are offered a special Certificate Term and Rate.
- GVFCU will notify you 30 days before a Certificate comes up for maturity.
- 10 calendar days from the date of maturity to make changes to their Certificate or it will automatically renew.
- Dividends are compounded monthly.
- Earned dividends may be deposited into an account monthly.
- All GVFCU members are eligible for Certificates
- All of these features are available for IRA Certificates
- NOTE: Compare Annual Percentage Yield, not Annual Percental Rate when shopping for Certificates.
Certificate Withdrawal & Penalties
Government regulations require a substantial penalty for failure to comply with Certificate requirements. Should you withdraw funds prior to maturity, the penalty will be as follows:
- If the qualifying period is one year or less, you will forfeit an amount equal to the lessor of:
- All dividends for 90 days on the amount withdrawn; or
- All dividends on the amount withdrawn since the date of issuance or renewal.
- If the qualifying period is greater than one year, you will forfeit an amount equal to the lesser of:
- All dividends for 180 days on the amount withdrawn; or
- All dividends on the amount withdrawn since the date of issuance or renewal.
Penalties will not be applied if withdrawal is because of death of an owner of the Certificate. Should the balance of the Certificate fall below the required minimum, penalties will be imposed, and the Certificate will be closed. A penalty may result in loss of part of the principal.

How to follow the prompts:
- Enter your member account number
- PAT requests your access code (PIN), which is the last four digits of your Social Security Number
- Choose a four-digit PIN, this will be your PIN going forward
NOTE: Your PIN cannot start with ‘0.’ If you have trouble accessing our PAT system, please contact a member service representative for assistance.
No more worries about a paper check getting lost, stolen or delayed and no standing in line at the branch to deposit your check. Sign up for Direct Deposit and have it go right into your account immediately.
To have your paycheck, tax return, or other checks Direct Deposit (like Social Security and Pension payments), you will need the following information:
- ABA or Routing and Transit number #222381934
- Direct Deposits being setup to your Checking Account will need your MICR/Draft ID number at the bottom of your check
- Direct Deposits being setup to your Savings Account (01 only) will need your member number. You will NOT be able to set up Direct Deposits to an additional savings.
- We DO offer easy internal transfer options so once your Direct Deposit reaches your designated account. We can allocate those funds to any of your share accounts as you please. Changes are just as easy to set up, so as your life changes, so can your transfers!
